Rally Sport Direct’s Eat, Greet, Car Meet! 2017

It’s that magical time of year: the weather is toying with our emotions, everyone is itching to get out and go to things, and people want to host said things. Thankfully the weather held out, and the kind folks at Rally Sport Direct hosted their annual Eat, Greet and Car Meet! meet. There was a pretty big turn out at RSD HQ in West Valley. There was way too much to fit into one post, but here are some highlights:

80eighty Scrapefest Premeet

While technically true, the 80eighty Scrapefest premeet was a full eight days before Scrapefest. Weird? YOU BET! Well attended? DAMN STRAIGHT! There were a ton of cars in attendance, so many that some resorted to parking in the undeveloped lots near the 80eighty building.

There was a wide variety of cars in attendance. Everything from clean, modern builds

To some classics

A pretty cool rat rod was there

And that was spitting distance from the R8 that Envision wrapped at Autorama. Not for, AT. While the show was going on. Looks good.

And then there was this guy, who kept staring at me while I was taking pictures of his edgy-ass xB.

So kawaii it causes me physical pain…

Anyway, here’s a big gallery of some of the other cars that were there. Saturday we’ll be at the track for the first NASA Utah event of the season, then up at Scrapefest on Sunday.

Import Spring Showoff 2016

Track Pirates Pit Walk

Here’s an idea, throw a meet at a proper track and let people park on pit lane! Brilliant right? That was the bright idea Zane, Brent and the rest of the Track Pirates cooked up for the first annual Pit Walk meet. April 19 was a gorgeous day, and many people came out to enjoy the sun and sights. And enjoy some tunes from DJ GType, aka Joey… or The Hair as one person calls him. There was a wide breadth of vehicles: from RaceCo’s F1 car to a pair of old Datsun pickups, from Brent Cheney’s uber rare M3 to Rally Sport Direct’s 2015 WRX and STI. And a couple of Rocket Bunny BRZs to boot.
